Who we are
Hi! I’m Kirby, the Head Trainer and Founder of Aging Strong on the Go! I created this company to help bridge the gap for seniors to have access to quality exercise programming.
According to a study completed by the University of Washington and Washington Group Health Research Institute, less than one-third of adults over 65 are getting the recommended 150 minutes per week of moderate-intensity exercise. Their study examined barriers to physical activity using a social ecological framework:
Barriers of Individual Preference:
Dislike for gyms or organized group fitness classes
Lack of motivation
Feelings of intimidation and embarrassment
Not accustomed to physical activity
Barriers of Interpersonal Factors:
Lack of professional guidance
Difficulty accessing or receiving information about physical activity
Presence of others perceived as intimidating
Barriers of Structural and Organizational Factors:
Expense and challenges related to transportation and gym memberships
Inadequate information available
Providers who lack knowledge about appropriate programs for seniors
So, how are we going to overcome these barriers?
By providing in-home personal training for seniors, we ease the burden of transportation and additional gym membership costs.
Offering quality programming led by qualified exercise professionals that address the unique needs of each client.
Helping seniors build confidence with exercise to promote self-efficacy and long-term commitment.
Delivering education on the benefits of exercise and encouraging healthy habits that can be integrated into daily routines.
At Aging Strong on the Go, our mission is to make exercise accessible, enjoyable, and effective for seniors—helping them stay strong, healthy, and independent every step of the way.
Our Vision is to create a world where all older adults feel strong, supported, and empowered to move with confidence.
About me
I’m a Certified Personal Trainer with a heart for helping older adults stay strong and confident. My approach is more than just movement - it’s about looking at the whole person by improving quality of life, building confidence, and supporting people through fitness. I’m here to help you or your loved one keep moving forward with strength and support.
When I’m not training clients, you can find me chasing after my twin toddler boys and chasing my own fitness goals in the gym and with running.
